ABOUT SARAFA ASSOCIATION JAMMU PROVINCE

The Sarafa Association Jammu Province (SAJP) was founded in 1947, and it has had the privilege of being led by exceptional individuals who dedicated themselves to its progress and success. Initially, the association was headed by esteemed Sh. Girdhari Lal Anand, who served as its first President from 1947 until 1970. His team included Sh. Chaman Lal Puri as Vice-President and Sh. Krishan Lal Sawhney as Secretary. During his tenure, Sh. Anand and his team provided remarkable leadership and guidance, establishing a strong foundation for the association’s growth.

Following his tenure, Sh. Parjan Kumar Jain assumed the presidency, taking on the responsibility of leading SAJP from 1970 to 2020. His team included Vice-President Sh. Chaman Lal Puri, Secretary Sh. Krishan Lal Sawhney from 1970 to 2011, Sh. Vijay Kumar Verma as Joint Secretary who later served as Secretary from 2011 to 2020, and Treasurer Sh. Surinder Kumar Jain. With unwavering commitment and remarkable leadership skills, Sh. Jain and his team made significant contributions to the association’s development and ensured its continuous advancement throughout his impressive fifty-year tenure.

In the year 2020, the association welcomed its new President, Sh. Raman Suri, who was earlier the Executive Member of SAJP. Raman Suri’s election as the President reflects the trust and confidence placed in his abilities to further the objectives of the SAJP. His team of Office Bearers includes Sr. Vice-President Sh. Rakesh Mahajan, Vice-President Sh. Deepak Jain, General Secretary Sh. Vijay Kumar Verma, Secretary Sh. Sumit Handa and Treasurer Sh. Surinder Kumar Jain. With fresh perspective and innovative ideas, President Suri and his team are poised to lead the association into a new era of progress, strengthening its position and expanding its reach.
